Macbeth Act I, Scene III

Macbeth has fought bravely in a war, and because he is such a good fighter and so loyal to the king he is being promoted from Thane of Glamis to Thane of Cawdor. The audience knows he's been promoted (in Act I, Scene II) but Macbeth doesn't know yet.
